Ghost

Ghost - It's truly incredible that the most romantic moment in this film involves three actors. When Whoopi Goldberg allows Patrick Swayze to communicate with Demi Moore using her body, the emotion their three hands manage to convey is beyond description. If a moment like this doesn't lead to the discussion of commitment, face it ladies, nothing will.
My Life

That you know the main character's inevitable fate at the beginning of the film only strengthens the relationship Michael Keaton and Nicole Kidman share in this tearjerker. Together they make a video for the unborn son he might not live to see. It will re-establish your faith that good marriages do still exist.
Pretty Woman

The hooker with a heart of gold. Yeah, yeah. We've heard it all before. But "Pretty Woman's" finest selling point is the self respect Julia Roberts' character gains throughout the course of the film. She falls in love with Richard Gere only after he makes her feel like she's worth something. And what's more romantic than that?
Sliding Doors

No matter which path you take, fate is fate. If you're destined to be with someone, you will be, no matter which course you life takes. This is the essence of "Sliding Doors" and the journey the audience follows Gwyneth Paltrow on. It's funny, it's witty and best of all, it's damn romantic.
City Of Angels

Nicolas Cage is a vibrant soul trapped by the constraints of death. Meg Ryan soul feels dead until Cage comes along and teaches her how to feel. The power this movie manages to express with the longing looks of the main actors is incredible. And that ending? Oh god, if ever their were a time to buy stock in kleenex, host a viewing party of this baby.
Untamed Heart

A lonely woman and a lonely man. Forget for a minute it stars Christian "Kuffs" Slater. The chemistry between his misunderstood, wandering stranger and Marisa Tomei's longing waitress is what big screen romances are made of. The scene where he undresses a woman for the first time is a throwback to the great eroticism of yesteryear.
Like Water For Chocolate

The idea that love and magic are one in the same is a beautiful thought. Add too it the visual backdrop and the stunning lead actors and you have one of the most romantic concoctions ever. If the way to a man's heart is really through his stomach, "Like Water for Chocolate" is a missile on a direct path.
Playing By Heart

Never has an on-screen couple been more captivating and real than Angelina Jolie and Ryan Philippe are here. And the best part? They never have sex. Not once. There is something so beautiful about a relationship that starts in friendship. And as a bonus, we're treated to the pairing of Sean Connery and Gena Rowlands. What could be better?
When A Man Loves A Woman

It seems only fitting that Meg Ryan should pop up twice on this list. Here, as a recovering alcoholic, she's never been more convincing. And as the man who's forced to give her up and let her heal before he can show her how much he loves her, Andy Garcia's pain is real. We feel their pain and their tears. But most of all, we see it's true love.
The Story Of Us

Their separated. They're fighting. On the surface, couple Michelle Pfeiffer and Bruce Willis seem to hate each other. The audience knows better. Critics said this movie's main flaw is that's its central couple seems to be separated for no reason. But that's the beauty because that's why most couple's separate. And the magic is watching them figure it out.
